About the funder

The Werner Stober Foundation was established in 1990 by the Karlsruhe entrepreneur Werner Stober and has since pursued two central funding objectives: firstly, the support of elderly, needy individuals through daily donations in cooperation with social partners (including AWO, Caritas, Diakonie, Der Paritätische) for food, medication, winter clothing, age-appropriate housing assistance, and household appliances; secondly, the promotion of achievement and creativity among young people in schools, science, architecture, and art as well as in medium-sized crafts (particularly wood, plastic, and glass processing) through scholarships, awards, and exhibition grants. By 2026, the foundation will have awarded over €4 million.
