Willi-Heinz Stefen Stiftung

The Willi-Heinz Stefen Foundation is a legally recognized civil law foundation based in Achim-Uphusen. Since its establishment, it has specifically supported children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through financial aid such as scholarships, as well as through advisory and mentoring support. A focus lies on educational and environmental projects to provide young people with opportunities for a responsible and self-determined life in a healthy environment.

The mission of the Willi-Heinz Stefen Foundation is to provide children and young people with a hopeful future. Through financial assistance, mentoring, and educational support, we aim to enhance access to training and environmental awareness. We believe that education deepens the understanding of community, environment, and nature, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of our society.

The foundation's funding programs are aimed at children and adolescents living in financial hardship, whose parents have limited resources for education and support, at young people with a migration background, as well as at young individuals lacking meaningful leisure and educational opportunities. The foundation supports both individual cases (e.g., through scholarships) and nonprofit projects to improve equal opportunities and participation for disadvantaged groups.
