Mission & Vision
The Yagmur Memorial Foundation aims to promote civil courage in child protection, strengthen the sense of responsibility among the public, politics, authorities, and the judiciary, and enshrine children's rights in the Basic Law. Through networking of stakeholders, training and further education, as well as public commemorative events, awareness of child welfare endangerment is to be heightened and the quality of child protection practice sustainably improved.
Target groups
The foundation's work is directed at children threatened by neglect or abuse in Hamburg and Northern Germany, as well as their families. Furthermore, it addresses professionals and institutions from youth welfare, justice, medicine, schools, daycare centers, authorities, and civil society to collaboratively develop and implement prevention, intervention, and support services in child protection.
