Mission & Vision
The Civil Service Agency is committed to enabling young people in Austria to undertake a service alternative to military service while creating the best possible framework conditions. It promotes social responsibility, education, and integration through qualified assignments in nonprofit organizations. Through professional information, swift processing, and supportive services, it contributes to strengthening the public good and the personal development of civil service participants.
Target groups
The services of the Civil Service Agency are aimed at male Austrian citizens aged 17 to 50 who wish or are required to perform civil service. In addition, institutions in the social, health, and environmental sectors, as well as authorities that accept civil service personnel, are supported. Parents, educational institutions, and counseling centers also belong to the target group, as they require information and forms related to the service. Regional authorities and municipal administrations also make use of the agency's services.
