Zukunft im Wittekindskreis

The Zukunft im Wittekindskreis Foundation was established in 2007 by a resolution of the district council of the Herford district. Its goal is to support the location development of the Herford district through the promotion of diverse and sustainable structural measures and projects. The foundation is active in various fields, including education, science and research, culture and heritage preservation, nature and environmental protection, fire and disaster protection, volunteer work, as well as the community in the areas of welfare, public health, and sports. A current major project is the construction of a stationary hospice in Herford, which is intended to provide comprehensive care, support, and accompaniment for terminally ill patients. The foundation finances the construction costs alongside a grant from the Sparkasse Herford.
