Description
1:0 for Your Training Place! was established in 2010 and offers targeted support to young people and adults in North Rhine-Westphalia during the transition to training and employment. In close partnership with the FC Foundation 1. FC Köln and the Caritas Association for the City of Cologne e.V., a grant model is provided that links individual counseling services with practical placement events. Over 1,000 participants have already been successfully placed in training or employment relationships. Thanks to ongoing application submissions, the program remains flexible and open to new applicants from the entire funding area.
The focus is particularly on young people with challenging educational or social backgrounds as well as adults seeking support for entering the workforce. A prerequisite for participation is residence in North Rhine-Westphalia. Participants gain access to professional coaching, application workshops, and regional networking formats where they can directly connect with potential trainers and employers. Through practical mentoring and structured job interviews, the program promotes professional integration and actively contributes to reducing youth unemployment in Cologne. At the same time, social participation is strengthened and long-term prospects for the region are created.
