Description
The ABC – Alliance for Education and Opportunities promotes the establishment of a municipal alliance of daycares, all-day primary schools, and other educational stakeholders in the district of Gütersloh, North Rhine-Westphalia. In up to three model municipalities (Verl or Rheda-Wiedenbrück), data-driven management processes and demand-oriented qualification measures will be established from 2024 to 2028 to anchor sustainable development processes. The goal is to strengthen the educational biographies of children regardless of social background and to support educational professionals through targeted training offers and process facilitation in daycares as well as school and instructional development in all-day primary schools. Systematic data collection, evaluation, and continuous reflection in annual milestone workshops ensure the effectiveness of the funding measures.
Public institutions, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations based in a model municipality that contribute to a local education alliance are eligible for funding. Grants cover expenses for organizational development, qualification offers, data collection, evaluation, as well as coordination and networking measures. Evaluation particularly focuses on alignment with the guidelines of the Reinhard Mohn Foundation, the potential for sustainable implementation in the municipality, and existing capacities for data-driven management. The ongoing application opportunity enables municipal administrations, families, civil society organizations, and political actors to participate in the long-term promotion of equal opportunities.
