Additionality - ERDF - Infrastructure Measures in the Transport Sector

The measure Additionality – ERDF – Infrastructure Measures in the Transport Sector specifically promotes planning and construction projects aimed at increasing the attractiveness of public local passenger transport as well as everyday cycling traffic in Burgenland and Eastern Austria. Public institutions, municipalities, and transport companies can apply for grants for preparatory planning services and concrete investments. The focus is on projects that improve accessibility to local, regional, and cross-border centers, as well as key projects in the field of railway infrastructure and rail systems for automated and autonomous driving. The measure thus supports location development initiatives and strengthens the environmentally friendly mobility mix in Burgenland.

Funding covers not only planning costs but also construction and investment expenses, technical equipment, and specific expenditures for automated rail driving. A prerequisite is that the projects are located in Burgenland or adjacent Eastern Austrian regions and have a clear transport and cycling infrastructure reference.
