Description

The Action Clubs: Aid for Refugees of the Kreissparkasse Verden Foundation is aimed at non-profit clubs in the Verden district that are committed locally to supporting refugees. In response to the war in Ukraine, the foundation is providing a total budget of €10,000. Each club can apply for up to €500 in the form of a grant to finance necessary purchases or activities. Whether it is the procurement of furniture for emergency shelters, provision of play and coloring books for children, or the organization of community festivals – the funds flow directly into projects that noticeably improve the daily lives of refugees. All funded expenses must be related to refugee aid and support the non-profit purpose.

Only clubs with a registered office or activity in the Verden district and proven non-profit status are eligible for funding. Applications are processed continuously on a first-come, first-served basis, so early submission increases the chances of success. A fully completed funding application and corresponding invoices are required. After a positive decision, the grant is paid out promptly and without complications. In this way, the Kreissparkasse Verden Foundation promotes voluntary engagement and supports club structures in implementing aid offers for refugees quickly and unbureaucratically. Interested clubs can find the application form as a PDF and the detailed funding guidelines available for download on the foundation’s website.
