Alcohol and Drug Counseling: Funding for Non-Profit Organizations under the K-ChG

In the federal state of Carinthia, ongoing grant funding is available for non-profit organizations operating in the field of alcohol and drug counseling in accordance with the Carinthian Equal Opportunities Act (K-ChG). The aim of this measure is to support socially significant services by covering the costs of ongoing operations. Funding is provided primarily for operating costs, personnel expenses, and necessary material expenditures, provided that the organization is unable to cover these expenses from its own resources. The submission of a grant application, including a signed declaration of commitment and a detailed financing plan, forms the basis for the allocation of funds. The project must serve a public interest, and proof of appropriate use is subsequently required.

The application deadline is open-ended, allowing non-profit organizations to submit funding applications at any time. Eligible to apply are all organizations based in Carinthia that are recognized as non-profit under the Carinthian Equal Opportunities Act. In addition to the grant application, a contract declaration and a well-founded financing plan must be submitted as accompanying documents to ensure transparent use of funds. The funding is provided in the form of a direct grant and does not require repayment. This support aims to sustainably strengthen the counseling landscape and to secure long-term access to addiction prevention and psychosocial support for those affected.
