General Funding in the Field of Energy and Environment

The program supports projects across Austria in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energies, environmental and nature conservation, as well as climate protection. As a non-repayable grant, the funding is available to both natural and legal persons, including private individuals, companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions. Applications can be submitted year-round, ensuring flexible planning and implementation of sustainable initiatives. Investments and measures that reduce energy consumption, harness renewable energy sources, or contribute to the protection and preservation of natural habitats are funded. The unlimited funding volume allows for needs-based allocation of resources, enabling the realization of ambitious projects.

The funding aims to realize a secure, competitive, and climate-friendly energy system that effectively advances Austria’s climate and energy goals. Funded projects must make a concrete contribution to the sustainable development of society and sustainably safeguard the protection of nature and the environment. Financial participation enables, for example, investments in building renovations, innovative storage technologies, or environmentally friendly mobility solutions. In doing so, the program makes a significant contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and strengthens the long-term competitiveness of Austria as a business location in terms of resilient and future-oriented energy and environmental policy.
