Description
With the funding General Forestry Education and Consulting, the state of Vorarlberg specifically supports Vorarlberg forest schools as well as the Agricultural Training Institute (LFI) in educational offerings in the fields of education, environmental and nature conservation, training and further education, as well as energy efficiency and climate protection. The grants cover contributions to course fees, excursion costs, and teaching materials. This measure deepens the population’s knowledge of the ecological interrelationships of the forest and strengthens multipliers in educational institutions. Thanks to the ongoing funding opportunity, innovative projects can be planned and implemented flexibly to establish a sustainable awareness of the forest as an essential habitat in the long term.
Applications must be submitted in writing and require proof of incurred expenses. A detailed cost breakdown, original invoices, payment receipts, and a well-founded project description are required. Since January 1, 2011, there has been no time limit for submissions, allowing educational institutions to present their funding requests at any time. The grants are awarded after verification of documents, professional plausibility checks, and, if necessary, on-site inspections in accordance with the state’s General Funding Guidelines. The budgeted volume amounts to approximately €0.02 million and ensures reliable financing of forestry educational activities.
