Description

The basic funding for general aid and rescue services in Carinthia is aimed at non-profit organizations with recognized status in accordance with the Carinthian Rescue Service Funding Act (K-RFG). It seeks to ensure comprehensive and reliable care for patients in emergency situations. Funding supports, among other things, the provision of first aid, the proper preparation of transportability and transportation under professional supervision, referral to further medical treatment, as well as support for events through on-site rescue and medical services. Furthermore, the funding enables regular first aid training to continuously strengthen the professional expertise of emergency personnel.

Provided as a grant, the funding has been continuously available since 01.01.2014 and can be applied for at any time. Eligible applicants are non-profit organizations that meet the legal requirements of the K-RFG, such as regional associations of the Austrian Red Cross or the Samaritan Federation Carinthia. A prerequisite for approval is proof of recognized rescue service status as well as the annual submission of performance parameters. The funding thematically covers the areas of health, disaster control, and labor & social affairs. The support makes a significant contribution to maintaining high-quality emergency medical care while simultaneously promoting the qualification of emergency personnel in line with a modern and efficient rescue service structure in Carinthia.
