Description
The program supports providers of public and independent youth welfare services active in Lower Saxony in designing outpatient socio-pedagogical services for young offenders. Funding is provided primarily for personnel costs in social group work, individual case management, and measures for offender-victim mediation. With a funding rate of 50%, up to €21,000 per full-time equivalent position and up to €20 per hour for fees are subsidized. The grant covers a project duration of 12 months and offers interest groups, associations, non-profit organizations, and public institutions the opportunity to establish and expand sustainable support and prevention structures.
For a successful application, the employment of at least one part-time specialist (minimum 0.5 FTE) is required. A support plan developed jointly with the participants, documentation of cases in offender-victim mediation, as well as continuous supervision of at least 20 participants per year (or 80 in the area of offender-victim mediation) are considered binding prerequisites. Furthermore, cooperation with other actors in juvenile criminal proceedings and the equal inclusion of young people regardless of origin or disability must be demonstrated. Applications can be submitted to the responsible state office by November 15 each year for the following fiscal year to ensure demand-oriented implementation of the services.
