Within the framework of this measure, projects are funded that aim to expand and enhance national capabilities and capacities for the collection, evaluation, and presentation of qualitative and quantitative statistical data and information relevant to migration and asylum, in order to serve as a sound basis for monitoring, evaluation, and policy decisions in asylum and migration policy.

Description
AMIF 2021–2027: Collection and Analysis of Qualitative and Quantitative Data in Vienna
This funding supports projects that strengthen national capacities for the collection, analysis, and visualization of migration- and asylum-relevant data. The objective is to establish reliable foundations for monitoring, evaluation, and policy decisions in asylum and migration policy. Eligible applicants include legal entities under private and public law, partnerships, international organizations, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations. The funding period extends from March 2023 to December 2029, with a minimum funding amount of €100,000 per project and year. The funding rate ranges between 75% and 90% of eligible expenses. Recognized costs include, among others, personnel expenses, material and travel costs, subcontracting, as well as indirect costs. Applications can be submitted continuously and will be evaluated punctually until the deadline expires.
Funded are studies, monitoring, and survey projects on asylum procedures, reception capacities, irregular migration movements, human trafficking, country of origin research, and other thematic areas. Selection is based on the fulfillment of funding objectives and indicators, the quality and methodology of data collection, the professional expertise of the applicants, as well as cost efficiency. Close interministerial and European coordination ensures effectiveness. For the application, among other documents, a project description, timeline and financing plan, personnel deployment data sheet, annual payroll account or fee invoices, travel expense receipts with report, lease agreement including operating cost statement, as well as clearance certificates from the tax office and social security must be submitted. The funding encourages partnership collaboration and innovative research approaches.
