Projects that realize intercultural and urban gardens, open workshops, or repair initiatives can receive financial grants in an uncomplicated manner. anstiftung’s approach is based on a non-bureaucratic procedure, where funding applications are accepted informally. This enables initiatives with clear project goals and participatory planning to be integrated into the development process from the outset. Only material costs are funded, while expenses for land acquisition, personnel and operating costs, or external construction projects are excluded.

The funding program aims to strengthen social cohesion and stimulate creativity and sustainability in neighborhoods. By networking diverse initiatives, such as open workshops and repair projects, active exchange among project sponsors is facilitated. Concepts that actively address gender equality and inclusivity are given preferential consideration. anstiftung requires applicants to rely on the creative do-it-yourself approach in their projects, whereby practical planning and implementation significantly contribute to success. Financial support is provided in the form of non-repayable grants, which may only be used for the acquisition of material costs. Nonprofit organizations with a valid exemption certificate can present their projects through a clear, concise summary. The emphasis is on ensuring that the funded measures demonstrate high practical utility and are sustainably anchored in public spaces. At the same time, anstiftung places great importance on the appropriate, economical, and purposeful use of the provided funds as well as on transparent reporting and accounting processes. This funding approach makes an innovative contribution to the revitalization of urban and intercultural spaces, addressing both social and ecological challenges.
