Description
The State Foundation for Victim Protection Schleswig-Holstein supports non-profit organizations and associations in the state of Schleswig-Holstein that are dedicated to providing individual assistance to victims of crimes or offer support programs for victim witnesses. Through a one-time grant of up to €5,000, both material and immaterial consequences of crimes can be compensated, provided that no statutory compensation claims or other aid options exist and neither own nor enforceable substitute claims are available. Personnel costs, fees, travel expenses, and other material costs are funded at 100%. The funds are available to non-profit organizations that submit the application based on the funding guidelines without a deadline and thereby support the supplementation of existing victim support systems.
A prerequisite for funding is that the crime was committed in Schleswig-Holstein after March 30, 2009, or that the victim resided here at the time of the offense. Additionally, applicant entities must have their registered office in the state and demonstrate that no alternative financing sources apply. For the application, the completed and signed form is required, supplemented by a project description, a cost and financing plan, a presentation of alternative financing options, the bank details (IBAN/BIC), and the data protection information. Personal consultation by the foundation does not take place; applications can be submitted at any time to the office in Kiel, whereby non-profit organizations make a significant contribution to alleviating the distress of crime victims in Schleswig-Holstein.
