Work Integration – Wage Subsidy

The Employment Integration – Wage Subsidy of the City of Vienna supports the sustainable integration of disadvantaged individuals into the primary labor market. Employers in Vienna receive a financial subsidy for wage costs to enable people in precarious life situations – including long-term unemployed job seekers, refugees, and migrants – to secure permanent employment. The goal is to reduce barriers and, through uncomplicated support, strengthen both social participation and professional development of the subsidized individuals. Applications can be submitted online on an ongoing basis, providing maximum flexibility for companies, non-profit organizations, public institutions, interest groups, or associations based or operating in Vienna.

A prerequisite for the grant is the registration of the employment relationship with the Vienna Regional Health Insurance Fund as well as a valid employment contract with the subsidized person. For the application, a cover letter from the employer, a copy of the employment contract, proof of registration of the workplace in Vienna, and the company registration certificate are required. This transparency and clear requirements ensure that the funding directly contributes to the creation of jobs and professional integration.
