Description

The Employment Promotion in Agriculture in the regions of Upper Austria and Vienna targets businesses and links the topics of work, education & training, and social affairs. It supports agricultural operators through monthly subsidies to provide practical training directly on their own farms for relatives up to a maximum age of 27 years or for people with psychosocial impairments. The measure aims to specifically prepare future farm successors while simultaneously promoting the employment of disadvantaged individuals. Designed as a direct subsidy, the funding enables tailored qualification on-site and contributes to strengthening regional agriculture.

A prerequisite for funding is the full-time employment of a relative or the integration of people with psychosocial impairments under the supervision of the Immanuel Association, as well as full insurance coverage of the persons concerned with the Social Insurance Institution for Farmers. Operators must demonstrate professional suitability as trainers according to the Upper Austrian Agricultural and Forestry Vocational Training Act. The funding amount within the framework of farm security is €75 or €150 per month; with the Immanuel Association, €400 per month is possible. Applications must be submitted by June 30 of the following year, including the complete funding application and, if applicable, an LFI course confirmation. This initiative makes a valuable contribution to the sustainable development of agricultural enterprises and social inclusion.
