Description
Work-Related Youth Social Work (AJS) promotes socially disadvantaged and individually impaired young people in Bavaria in accordance with § 13 para. 2 SGB VIII through socially pedagogically supervised preparatory and training measures. The goal is permanent integration into training and the labor market: In non-company qualification and training projects, key qualifications, social skills, and professional abilities are imparted in workshop-like or company environments. The Free State of Bavaria supports public institutions and non-profit organizations that present a tailored concept and supervise with qualified professional staff. Measures should not only lead to training readiness or a recognized qualification according to the Vocational Training Act but also strengthen participants in their personal and social development and reduce disadvantages when entering working life. Funding is continuously awarded and provided as a non-repayable grant in the form of co-financing of up to 60% of eligible expenses.
Eligible to apply are districts, independent cities, as well as recognized providers of independent youth welfare in Bavaria. A detailed concept with target group, content and methods, as well as a quality assurance system and outcome evaluation, is required. Additionally, a written cooperation agreement with youth welfare or the employment agency, approval as a training institution, a clearance certificate from the responsible authorities, and proof of priority third-party funding participation are necessary. Eligible expenses include flat-rate personnel and material costs per participant, remuneration up to the minimum training allowance or minimum wage, as well as travel cost subsidies. A mandatory own contribution of at least 10% of the eligible costs is required. Applications must be submitted in writing or electronically to the Center Bavaria Family and Social Affairs (ZBFS) no later than three months before the project start. Selection is based on concept quality, reliability of the provider, regional demand, and existing quality assurance systems.
