With a total volume of 10 million euros, the EU-funded project within the framework of NextGeneration EU supports the digitization of the traditional Mother-Child Pass into a modern, electronic documentation and information platform in Vienna. The funding is exclusively aimed at public institutions and covers a project duration of 54 months (01.01.2022–30.06.2026). The goal is to develop a user-friendly solution for Mother-Child Pass examinations that enables physicians and pregnant persons quick access to health data, optimizes processes, and ensures an acceptance rate of over 90% by Q2 2026. A prerequisite for the disbursement of funds is the timely implementation of key milestones in the national recovery and resilience plan: legal framework by Q2 2023, programming contract by Q4 2023, and achieving the defined usage rate by Q2 2026.

Funded are expenses for software development, project management, IT infrastructure, and user training. The target group includes physicians conducting Mother-Child Pass examinations, as well as pregnant persons and mothers using the platform for medical documentation and consultations. Public applicants must observe the procurement regulations according to BVergG 2018 and submit the required documents in accordance with the contract value and procedure type. With a 100% funding rate, all eligible costs are covered, provided all requirements and milestones are met.
