Description
The funding program Promotion of Emission-Free Commercial Vehicles and Infrastructure (ENIN) provides companies in Vienna with a forward-looking instrument to actively advance the transformation of freight transport. The goal is to significantly accelerate the fleet conversion to non-fossil powered commercial vehicles in classes N1 to N3, thereby making a decisive contribution to climate and environmental protection. The program links topics such as energy efficiency, renewable energies, climate protection, as well as sustainable urban development and infrastructure to ensure a holistic transport transformation. By providing non-repayable grants under NextGeneration EU and REPowerEU, companies are financially supported in acquiring modern electric commercial vehicles as well as the associated charging and refueling infrastructure. This measure makes a substantial contribution to achieving the European climate neutrality targets by 2050 and the national climate neutrality strategy by 2040, and establishes clear funding conditions available until December 31, 2030.
Eligible applicants are natural and legal persons with a registered office in Austria – in particular companies as well as cross-sector consortia for infrastructure projects. Investments in emission-free commercial vehicles and all related expenses for charging or refueling stations are funded. The budget amounts to approximately 105 million euros, provided as a non-repayable investment grant and paid out in installments. A prerequisite for approval, in addition to formal compliance, is proof of the annual financial statements for the last two fiscal years as well as an electronic application via the FFG platform eCall including an online cost plan. Applications can be submitted from August 1, 2022, until December 31, 2030. The grant covers project-related costs up to a specified maximum amount and enables companies to plan investments reliably for the sustainable modernization of their vehicle fleets.
