Description
The ARF funding for emission-free commercial vehicles and infrastructure is aimed at businesses, associations, religious institutions, as well as public authorities throughout Austria. The program supports electric commercial vehicles of vehicle class N1 and the necessary charging infrastructure, with the prerequisite that operation is energy-autonomous using electricity from renewable energy sources. With a total budget of 15 million euros, provided under NextGeneration EU, the program aims to significantly increase the share of emission-free commercial vehicles and thereby make a sustainable contribution to climate protection, air quality improvement, and the modernization of transport infrastructure.
Designed as a grant, the funding covers both the acquisition of electric commercial vehicles and the construction and operation of the charging infrastructure. Applicants must demonstrate that delivery, payment, and registration of the vehicles have been completed and that the electricity used originates from renewable sources. Applications can be submitted via an online platform until June 30, 2026; a personalized access link is valid for six months from registration. Through clear structuring and comprehensive financial support, the measure promotes a rapid transition to emission-free commercial vehicles, strengthens regional mobility concepts, and supports the long-term increase of energy efficiency as well as the expansion of climate-friendly charging infrastructure.
