Description

With the family-friendly municipality audit, the state of Carinthia provides a targeted instrument that enables municipalities to systematically analyze and further develop their child and family friendliness. Public institutions in Carinthia benefit from a clearly structured auditing process, which is externally accompanied by independent certification bodies. Through the implementation of family policy measures, the quality of life for families is to be strengthened and the attractiveness of the municipalities as family-friendly locations secured in the long term. Applications can be submitted continuously from the start to the completion of the auditing procedure and are explicitly aimed at municipal administrations that wish to expand their commitment to children, youth, and families.

Within the framework of this regional funding, the costs for the initial audit as well as the first re-audit are subsidized with a one-time grant of up to €1,200. A prerequisite is the submission of a subsidy application to Department 13 of the Office of the Carinthian State Government as well as proof of full financing through a detailed financing plan. Furthermore, the applicant must demonstrate that full self-financing is not possible and must opt for an assessment by an independent, external certification body. Eligible expenses include exclusively the fees of the certification body for the initial audit and the re-audit. With this grant, the state of Carinthia specifically supports those municipalities that wish to sustainably strengthen their family policy structures and further expand the public benefit.
