Description
Starting in March 2027, the Heinrich von der Haar Literature Foundation will, for the first time, offer a two-week literary residency at the idyllic House RÜGENBLICK in Stralsund. From March 6 to 20, 2027, authors will have the opportunity to fully focus on the development of their own text projects in a peaceful atmosphere overlooking the Baltic Sea. The foundation will cover accommodation costs in full and additionally grant a flat-rate travel allowance of €100. An independent three-member jury will decide on the award based on submitted work samples and exposés to ensure a diverse and high-quality selection of literary projects.
Eligible applicants are private authors and literary writers with their own text projects who wish to benefit from an intensive working phase in an inspiring environment. The application must include a text sample of no more than ten pages as well as a meaningful exposé, which will shape the selection process. The aim of the residency is to sustainably support writing processes and foster creative impulses. With a 100% funding rate, this residency grant offers an attractive opportunity to advance literary projects within a focused period and to sharpen the perspective for new narrative approaches.
