Compensatory and Replacement Measures (C&R Measures) – Cultural Landscape Foundation Saxony-Anhalt

The Saxony-Anhalt Cultural Landscape Foundation supports the ecologically sound implementation of compensation and replacement measures to offset interventions in nature and landscape across all regions of Saxony-Anhalt. To this end, it provides suitable areas, plans production-integrated compensation measures (PIK) such as extensive arable fields, flowering and margin strips, and professionally accompanies their realization. The dismantling of old silo and stable facilities as part of compensation measures is also eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted at any time, enabling agricultural enterprises, municipalities, public authorities, and companies to fulfill their obligations flexibly and promptly.

Eligible for funding are companies, public institutions, and private individuals willing to provide land for compensation projects and to submit the form for reporting potential measures, including a photo of the area. The Foundation’s grants cover costs for extensification measures, dismantling work, and professional support. The goal is the preservation and development of valuable habitats, for example through the creation of field bird strips, wetting areas for lapwings, or the maintenance of traditional orchards. The Foundation supports the drafting of long-term management contracts and the establishment of ecological accounts. Through this funding program, the Saxony-Anhalt Cultural Landscape Foundation makes an important contribution to environmental, nature, and climate protection in rural development and strengthens biodiversity in the cultural landscape.
