Austrian Abroad - World Federation

The World Federation of Austrians Abroad in Burgenland continuously receives grants for the implementation of diverse cultural and media projects. The interest group supports Austrians living abroad through the production of informational brochures and magazines, which are distributed worldwide. As a service organization, it also functions as a central platform through which Austrians living abroad can connect with each other, exchange news, and build networks. Applications can be submitted indefinitely; the submitted funding application alone forms the formal basis for the allocation of funds.

The provided funds are used to prepare editorial content, print, and digitally distribute it in order to strengthen cultural identity and media literacy abroad. The subsidy covers expenses for conception, layout, and printing as well as the organizational management of the online platform. Applying associations or interest groups only need to submit a complete funding application; no further documents are required. This funding offers Austrians abroad the opportunity to actively participate in media and cultural processes and thus foster the Austrian sense of community beyond borders.
