Austrian Abroad - World Federation

The World Federation of Austrians Abroad receives ongoing **grant funding** to support its service projects that benefit Austrian citizens living abroad. This subsidy is exclusively aimed at non-profit associations and interest groups with a nationwide focus. The objective is to finance central communication and advisory services: from the **creation of well-founded informational brochures** to the **production of thematic magazines**, as well as the **operation and maintenance** of an interactive online platform. This establishes a contemporary point of contact that ensures continuous exchange of experiences among Austrians living abroad and strengthens their cultural identity.

A prerequisite for funding is the submission of a current audit report, based on which eligibility for support is assessed. Applications can be submitted at any time, ensuring flexible project planning. The allocation of funds is subject to the availability of budgetary resources and is based on the resolution of the Conference of Governors dated April 30, 2003. Eligible expenses include all costs associated with project implementation – from layout and printing to editorial work and hosting and maintenance expenses for the digital platform. This funding enables the World Federation to sustainably expand its role as a central information and advisory organization for Austrian communities abroad and to guarantee the networking of the community on a modern basis.
