Description

The free project weeks on healthy and sustainable nutrition are aimed at school classes from various types of schools in Baden-Württemberg, particularly at Werkrealschulen, Realschulen, special schools, SBBZ, community and comprehensive schools, as well as VKL classes with increased social support needs. The one-month program inspires children and adolescents to prepare meals themselves, experience organic farming up close, and develop a sustainable awareness of nutrition. Under expert guidance, practical knowledge is imparted on how food is produced, processed, and utilized. The events thus promote not only nutritional knowledge and health competence but also contribute to education for sustainable development, environmental and climate protection, and strengthen social participation.

STIPHTUNG CHRISTOPH SONNTAG GmbH grants a 100% subsidy for all project costs including bus transfers. Participating educational institutions must have a functional school kitchen and teach grades 5 to 10 (in exceptional cases also grade 4). Allocation is made on a first-come, first-served basis, taking social criteria into account. All dates for 2026 are already fully booked; however, applications can be placed on a waiting list. Interested classes should submit an email with the subject “EW26 – Name of the School, Class” along with a brief justification (1–2 sentences on the relevance of participation). The purely digital application process keeps administrative effort low and enables the fastest possible decision. This way, educational institutions are informed as soon as additional dates become available or are expanded.
