Description

The modular foreign trade promotion by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Enterprises strengthens the international competitiveness of the Berlin economy by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as business-related institutions with tailored grants for the development of new foreign markets. Funding is provided for trade fair appearances, participation in joint booths and delegation trips, as well as activities for network building and individual coaching. The funding offers are aimed at SMEs based in Berlin with the corresponding status, as well as institutions and associations that support Berlin companies in their internationalization through joint and network projects. Applications can be submitted continuously, allowing flexible responses to a wide range of market opportunities.

The focus is on five exciting modules: first-time or recurring presence at international trade fairs, collective trade fair appearances via joint booths, the organization and participation in delegation trips to key markets, the expansion of cross-border networks, and the Coaching Bonus International for tailored consulting by recognized experts. The combination of these elements enables Berlin companies and project teams to establish contacts, adapt market entry strategies, and build long-term partner structures. The funding requirements include being based in Berlin, having SME status, or belonging to business-related institutions for joint and network projects. This grant initiative encourages viewing globalization as an opportunity and venturing into new markets.
