Description

The Baden-Württemberg Art Foundation enables young artists from the region to further develop their creative work at internationally renowned locations through its exchange program. Residencies in Strasbourg, Valence, Barcelona, and Milan open up new artistic perspectives and create space for unconventional ideas. In addition, the foundation provides studio and living spaces in Stuttgart for foreign guest artists, thereby promoting mutual exchange of impulses and experiences. This ongoing funding opportunity is aimed at all artists and cultural practitioners with primary residence, professional focus, or significant biographical connection to Baden-Württemberg who wish to temporarily relocate their work to an international environment.

The focus is on the goal of building sustainable networks and strengthening intercultural cooperation. The Baden-Württemberg Art Foundation gGmbH, active since 1977 as an independent, non-profit institution, annually supports numerous talents through scholarships in the fields of visual arts, literature, performing arts, music, and cultural management. With this exchange program, it specifically expands its funding offerings to include international networking opportunities and contributes to cultural diversity. Applications are possible at any time, provided the funding requirements—residence or biographical connection to Baden-Württemberg as well as artistic activity—are met. Participation promises valuable impulses and an enrichment of the artistic profile.
