Description
aws Equity Capital offers Austrian start-ups tailored equity financing to develop pioneering ideas to market readiness and support international growth. Through the aws Founding Fund, initial investments between EUR 0.5 million and EUR 1.5 million are provided, followed by follow-up financing of up to EUR 5 million. Together with experienced co-investors, the funding aims to bring innovative products or services to market launch, strengthen sales development, expand production capacities, and open up international markets. Funds can be applied for at any time; an application deadline runs until 31.12.2026. With a success rate of approximately 0.5 to 1%, the program focuses on high selectivity and sustainable partnerships to fully unlock the potential of Austrian young companies.
The program specifically supports young small enterprises based in Austria that are less than seven years old, employ fewer than 50 employees, and have an annual turnover and balance sheet total below EUR 10 million. It is also a prerequisite that at least 25% of the shares remain in the hands of the founders and that the business model is proven by a proof of concept or proof of market. A high-growth target market as well as clearly defined milestones to be achieved with the financing are also part of the selection criteria. The focus is on the scalability of the business model, market potential, and the quality of the planned development stages. aws Equity Capital is thus aimed at ambitious founders who want to take the next growth step with a structured financing need.
