Description
The bakery funding program of the state of Upper Austria supports small-scale bakery businesses with investments that ensure and expand reliable local supply for the population. In the period from 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2026, non-repayable grants in the form of de minimis aid or interest subsidies will be provided. Eligible measures include, among others, new constructions, conversions, and modernizations as well as the acquisition of operational and business equipment. The takeover of existing businesses is also considered an eligible project. The goal is a sustainable strengthening of regional supply chains to preserve and expand the quality and variety of the bread and baked goods spectrum in the long term.
Companies with an active trade license for bakeries, a maximum of 15 full-time equivalents at the investment location, and no more than seven locations may apply. Sole proprietors must be EU citizens. A coherent project description with a detailed cost, financing, and schedule plan is required. The completed funding application and project documents must be submitted via the Upper Austria Economic Portal before the start of the investment project. The Department of Economy and Research of the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government reviews the documents and decides on the funding. This supports innovative concepts and investment projects in the bakery businesses of the federal state, thereby promoting a vibrant regional baking craft.
