Description
The state of Tyrol is providing basic funding totaling 25.97 million euros for the years 2026 and 2027 to fhg – Center for Health Professions Tyrol GmbH. This grant supports the university of applied sciences programs in the FH bachelor's degree courses in health and social care as well as in health-related disciplines. The goal is to secure qualified graduates with professionally qualifying degrees by financially covering personnel and material costs, thereby sustainably ensuring regionally adapted healthcare provision in Tyrol. The funding contributes to meeting the public interest and covering the demand for skilled professionals in advanced medical-technical services, health and nursing care, as well as midwifery education.
Only non-profit institutions are eligible for funding; fhg as the sponsor is 74% owned by Tirol Kliniken GmbH and 26% owned by UMIT TIROL – Private University for Health Sciences and Technology GmbH. The support measure covers a project period of 24 months and includes the costs of the university of applied sciences programs (personnel and material costs). The contractually regulated funding ensures that the university can fulfill its core task – the demand-oriented training of qualified health professionals. Applications can be submitted from January 1, 2026, with the deadline ending on December 31, 2027.
