BayWa Foundation

The BayWa Foundation has been committed nationwide since 1998 to forward-looking projects in the fields of nutrition, energy, and environmental protection, as well as humanitarian aid measures. As a legally recognized public foundation under civil law, thanks to the full coverage of administrative costs by BayWa AG, 100% of the donated funds go directly to the projects. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, educational institutions, foundations, and public entities that particularly support children, youth, and disadvantaged groups in the areas of environmental and nutrition education, sustainable energy supply, and emergency aid. Applications can be submitted at any time, as there are no fixed submission deadlines.

With the goal of securing a livable future, the BayWa Foundation supports a variety of initiatives – from the establishment of school gardens and initiatives to build climate-resilient forests to the implementation of agricultural self-help projects in developing regions. The call for proposals promotes concepts that combine education and practice-oriented further training, thereby generating long-term impact. Project sponsors benefit from transparent use of funds and the foundation’s expertise, which has successfully supported around 100 projects in twelve countries.
