Description
The investment grant for disability-accessible renovations in Vienna supports private individuals in adapting their main residence to be barrier-free. Funding is provided for sanitary facilities, stairlifts, door widenings, and other measures in accordance with ÖNORM B 1600, with a funding rate of 75% of the verified and reasonable costs. Eligible applicants include tenants, owners, and allotment garden leaseholders with a verified disability (from care allowance level 3), whose usable area ranges between 22 and 150 m². Own labor and pure material costs, however, are not eligible for funding. The application period started on March 1, 2024, with no time limitation. Required documents for the application include, among others, proof of disability, a consent declaration from the property owner or an excerpt from the land register, as well as a cost estimate or invoice.
