Description
The aid for private elemental damage in Tyrol supports natural and legal persons, companies, start-ups, as well as cooperatives in the restoration of extraordinary damages resulting from natural disasters. As direct grants in the areas of disaster protection and labor & social affairs, the funding aims to avert existential dangers and emergencies following elemental events. Regional public authorities are excluded from the funding. The aid is continuously available and covers all restoration measures as well as the costs for expert appraisal reports required to assess the extent of the damage.
Applications must be submitted to the competent authority within six months from the date of damage. The basis for disbursement consists of detailed cost evidence in the form of original invoices and payment receipts as well as a detailed appraisal report. For the application, among other documents, a confirmation of insurance benefits, income and sales tax assessments for the last two years, annual financial statements, and in agricultural and forestry matters, standard value assessments or cash reports must be submitted. Vehicle damages additionally require a copy of the registration certificate, and for residential properties, a household confirmation. Partial payments are possible; random on-site inspections ensure the proper use of funds. With a view to preventing existential threats, the state of Tyrol promotes the prompt and appropriate repair of damages caused by floods, avalanches, landslides, hail, or other natural events.
