Description

Within the framework of the Carinthian Housing Subsidy 2023, the State of Carinthia offers an unlimited grant opportunity for the construction, acquisition, as well as the extension and expansion of agricultural workers' homes and condominiums. Eligible applicants are natural persons who are employed full-time as agricultural workers, forestry workers, gardeners, craftsmen, and comparable employees in the agricultural and forestry sector and who pay contributions to the Agricultural Workers' Chamber. The goal is to create or expand housing in rural regions of Carinthia and thereby sustainably secure the supply and retention of agricultural and forestry professionals. Applications have been continuously possible since July 15, 2023, without any deadline restrictions.

The investment grant is tiered according to the annual net family income into three funding levels: for under 60% of the income ceiling, the grant amounts to €7,000; for 60–80%, €3,500; and for over 80%, €1,800. Additionally, a supplement of €1,000 per dependent child living in the household (max. 40% of the costs) may be granted. The prerequisite is that the family income does not exceed the legally defined ceiling, that at least three consecutive years or six interrupted years of agricultural and forestry activity are proven, and that the home serves exclusively the applicant’s own residential needs. Required documents for the application include, among others, proof of citizenship, registration certificate, land register excerpt or purchase contract, income statements, officially approved building plans, as well as cost estimates and financing plan. The processing is carried out by the Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 10 – Agriculture and Forestry, Rural Areas.
