Description
The subsidies from the state of Vorarlberg promote the sustainable development and optimization of the mountain bike trail network throughout the entire federal state. The goal is the creation of new routes and the improvement of existing trails with particular consideration of traffic safety. Since coming into effect on 01.01.2019, measures can be applied for that create an attractive, well-structured infrastructure and strengthen the leisure and tourism offerings in Vorarlberg. The funding is granted as a non-repayable grant and supports projects in the areas of infrastructure, sports, regional development, urban and rural areas, as well as culture and media.
Eligible applicants are natural and legal persons, municipalities, municipal associations, interest groups, and clubs that operate or implement mountain bike routes based on relevant legal foundations (Forestry Act, Goods and Cableways Act, Road Act, Land Constitution Act, or civil law agreements). Applications can be submitted at any time without limitation. A prerequisite is the submission of a fully completed funding application, a binding declaration of commitment, as well as an agreement between road maintainers and operators of the respective route. The responsible department for agriculture and rural areas monitors the appropriate use of funds and accompanies the project implementation until final accounting.
