Description
Contributions to BIFO promote well-founded career and educational guidance for young people and their parents in Vorarlberg. The state of Vorarlberg acts as the sponsor together with Berufs- und Bildungsinformation GmbH (BIFO) to sustainably improve the transition from school to career. Funding is provided for counseling and quality assurance in career orientation lessons (BO), training for teachers, talent checks, as well as the support and networking of school-based and extracurricular offerings. New secondary schools, general higher education schools (AHS), and other institutions that offer or use BO measures benefit from tailored support services. Applications can be submitted at any time using a form to the Office of the Vorarlberg State Government, Department of General Economic Affairs – the prerequisite is that the registered office or activity is located in Vorarlberg.
With an annual subsidy volume of approximately 1.3 million euros, the measure aims to establish professional BO structures and advance practical projects. The funding is directed at companies, schools, and organizations active in the fields of vocational training and further education, labor & social affairs, as well as business financing. Only the completed application form is required; there are no fixed deadlines as submissions are accepted continuously. Through regular reports and documentation, the state ensures transparent allocation of funds in accordance with the General Funding Guidelines (AFRL). The initiative makes a significant contribution to addressing the shortage of skilled workers and guiding young people purposefully into their professional future.
