Description

In Styria, employers of day care providers receive a financial subsidy for the personnel expenses incurred. This funding is aimed at private individuals who employ day mothers and day fathers and falls within the thematic areas of children and youth, social affairs, as well as work & social issues. With continuously available funding pools, the program offers direct financial relief and contributes to ensuring quality in child care. Through budget support, the compatibility of care and work is strengthened, while at the same time standards in the care system are anchored.

A prerequisite for approval is an official care permit issued by the district administrative authority as well as proof of a specific care need in accordance with the Styrian Child Education and Care Act. In addition, the applicable minimum wage rates and service and salary law provisions must be observed. Further proof consists of documentation of a minimum care service of 100 hours per calendar month. Only personnel expenses are eligible for funding. The application must be submitted via the electronic system KIN-WEB: for business start-ups at the beginning of the child care year no later than October 10, and for a later start no later than two weeks after commencement of operations.
