Contribution to Österreich Wein Marketing GmbH

The contribution to Österreich Wein Marketing GmbH represents continuous state funding through which the State of Styria, together with the federal government and the wine-producing federal states of Burgenland, Lower Austria, and Vienna, strengthens national wine marketing in Austria. Since its inception in December 2013, financial resources have been provided as a non-repayable grant to Österreich Wein Marketing GmbH, whose shareholder structure, in addition to Styria (10%), includes the Presidents' Conference of the Chambers of Agriculture and the Federal Agricultural Trade Committee (each 25%), Lower Austria and Burgenland (each 15%), as well as Vienna (10%). The funds are continuously made available to expand marketing and sales activities in the wine sector and to promote uniform communication strategies at the national level. Companies from the regions of Burgenland, Lower Austria, Styria, and Vienna indirectly benefit from efficiently managed campaigns that increase the visibility of domestic wine products and support sales in the domestic market.

With a focus on the topics of business financing as well as consulting & business financing, the grant specifically provides impetus for the professional positioning of Austrian wine products. The eligible recipient is Österreich Wein Marketing GmbH itself, which acts as the central marketing company for all participating federal states. A prerequisite for receiving state funds is participation in the existing syndicate agreement with the company.
