Description
The health program of the Animal Health Fund in Vorarlberg continuously supports health surveys and accompanying documentation according to § 16 as well as the measures provided for in § 17 by the Animal Health Service. The state of Vorarlberg covers the incurred costs (with the exception of those according to paragraph 2) in the form of a grant. This initiative contributes to strengthening animal welfare, improving energy efficiency in agricultural operations, and promoting rural development. There is no fixed application deadline, as applications can be submitted continuously and without time limitation. The total volume of funding amounts to approximately €0.85 million.
Eligible for funding are freelance veterinarians as well as other qualified persons who possess the necessary professional qualifications and act with the consent of the animal owners. Eligible expenses explicitly include the costs for health surveys and related documentation carried out within the framework of the health program. A prerequisite is the written consent of the animal owners to the respective measures. The goal is to establish a sound data basis for animal health and food safety as well as to support the Animal Health Service in its work. Processing and consultation are carried out by the Veterinary Affairs Department of the Office of the Vorarlberg State Government.
