Karl Landsteiner Private University for Health Sciences Ltd.

The contribution from the State of Lower Austria aims to sustainably strengthen research and teaching at the Karl Landsteiner Private University for Health Sciences. Funding is provided for scientific projects and curricula implemented at the university hospitals in Krems, St. Pölten, and Tulln. The grant is available to Karl Landsteiner Private University for Health Sciences GmbH and supports both clinically practical research initiatives and innovative teaching formats in the fields of medicine, nursing, psychology, and health sciences. Applications can be submitted in writing throughout the year using the official form; an open deadline has been in place since July 1, 2013. Funding is granted in the form of a subsidy and is aligned with the objectives of the Lower Austria Cultural Funding Act and the FTI strategy for tertiary education.

Requirements for a successful application include verifiable relevance to Lower Austria of the project or institution, as well as a complete submission with a detailed project description, location, timeframe, and a realistic financing plan. In addition to a handwritten signature, the application must include cost estimates and a transparent presentation of all expenses and funding contributions. Evaluation criteria include the contribution to achieving scientific objectives, alignment with the Lower Austria FTI strategy, the quality of the financing plan, and timely and proper submission. Through this, the funding makes an important contribution to the further development of Lower Austria as a research and teaching location and strengthens interdisciplinary exchange between the university and clinical practice.
