Consulting and Prevention of the Ida and Otto Chelius Foundation

The Ida and Otto Chelius Foundation effectively supports counseling and prevention services in Baden-Württemberg that aim at the holistic development of children and adolescents. Projects are funded in the key areas of health, media literacy, and sex education, which make a sustainable contribution to positive socialization. As a grant program, it is aimed at non-profit organizations, educational institutions, public bodies, as well as individuals engaged with innovative concepts in Freiburg and the surrounding area. Through continuous awarding without fixed application deadlines, applicants benefit from flexible submission options, while the foundation’s board of directors decides on submitted projects at least twice a year.

For a successful application, a written proposal with a detailed project description and a transparent cost breakdown is required. In the spirit of inclusive access, funding criteria remain open to diverse applicant groups, with the aim of particularly strengthening low-threshold offerings. The goal is to empower experts and multipliers to competently support young people in healthy development, responsible use of digital media, and age-appropriate sex education.
