Description
The "Operational Check" is aimed at agricultural, horticultural, and viticultural SMEs based or established in Baden-Württemberg and supports a sustainable, economical, animal-friendly, and climate-friendly further development of the operation. External consultants with at least two years of professional experience and regular specialized training typically conduct two on-site visits to carry out a precise assessment. The goal is to increase competitiveness, promote ecological performance, and enhance resilience to climatic challenges. The program supports fundamental strategic decisions regarding the operational orientation in the primary sector and thereby strengthens the future viability of agriculture in the region.
Consulting services are subsidized with a grant of up to €1,500 per Operational Check. Applications can be submitted continuously before the start of the consulting activity to the State Institute for Agriculture, Food and Rural Areas (LEL). Each company may utilize the program once within two years. Excluded are companies in difficulty as defined by the EU as well as consulting services already funded under comparable programs. A prerequisite is the submission of a complete application before the start of the measure. The processing and professional supervision are the responsibility of the Ministry of Food, Rural Areas and Consumer Protection Baden-Württemberg (MLR) in cooperation with the LEL. This funding instrument makes an important contribution to the sustainable strengthening of primary production and the future-oriented alignment of operations.
