Description

The Vigdis Thompson Foundation supports patients nationwide with rare spinal conditions such as arachnoiditis and Tarlov cysts through specialist initial consultations based on digital imaging data. Interested private individuals first submit the required contact information and automatically receive a standardized questionnaire as well as a consent form for data processing. Subsequently, a personal upload link with a password is provided, through which MRI or CT image files can be securely uploaded. Alternatively, there is the option to submit image CDs by mail. Each submission receives a comprehensive diagnostic analysis by email within a short time, which can be used for further treatment and therapy management.

Funding is provided continuously and is explicitly aimed at affected individuals with confirmed arachnoiditis or Tarlov cysts who seek a qualified second opinion. Application requirements include the completed online form, the sent questionnaire, the signed consent form, and complete image files. As another form of support in the fields of health, counseling, as well as work & social affairs, the foundation offers a low-threshold access without fixed deadlines. This service enables rapid, independent diagnostics and aims to sustainably improve patients’ quality of life through enhanced treatment options. Interested parties can submit a consultation request at any time and receive all necessary documents immediately by email.
