Description
The funding program Visual Arts – Project Funding of the State of Salzburg continuously offers grants for exhibition projects, events, and publications, especially catalogues, by and with Salzburg artists. It is aimed at individuals, initiatives, curators, associations, and non-profit organizations that present contemporary visual arts with a clear Salzburg reference. Projects in the fields of painting, drawing, graphics, sculpture, ceramics, objects, and installations, as well as in architecture, design, photography, and video, are supported. The goal is to strengthen cultural diversity, realize innovative performance formats, and support professionally grounded publications that sustainably highlight artistic creation in the region.
A prerequisite for funding is a predominantly public-benefit-oriented project with a clear Salzburg reference. Eligible for funding are private individuals, interest groups, as well as other associations and organizations. The application must be submitted before the start of the project with a fully completed funding application, supplemented by a budget template, a comprehensive project description, information on other funding sources, and – if applicable – statutes or bylaws and proof of the organization's financial situation. A final report verifies the appropriate use of funds. Since there are no fixed deadlines, funding applications can be submitted year-round through the Cultural Department of the State of Salzburg. The continuous funding opportunity supports artists and institutions in implementing ambitious projects in the field of visual arts and advancing the cultural discourse in the region.
