Description
The BioHöfe Foundation supports nationwide non-profit initiatives in nature and environmental conservation as well as measures to preserve organic farming. As a future-oriented funding instrument of the Ecology & Agriculture Foundation, agricultural land and farms are permanently managed organically through donations or endowments. The long-term goal is to strengthen sustainable agricultural culture by securing farms in accordance with organic farming principles and promoting projects with sustainable impact. The targeted allocation of grants contributes to stabilizing ecological production methods and advancing biodiversity and climate protection in rural areas.
Eligible for funding are private individuals, companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions that submit a declaration of suitability for donation or endowment and demonstrate the non-profit purpose. A clear connection to organic farming as well as sustainable impact in nature and environmental conservation is essential. Evaluation criteria include the contribution to preserving organic farming, the non-profit purpose, and the long-term benefits for climate and nature protection. Application documents include an informal application letter, proof of property transfer, and proof of non-profit status. Since funding applications can be submitted continuously, the foundation offers flexible opportunities for farmers or project managers who want to ensure the permanent organic management of their land or environmental projects.
