Biotope Sponsorships

The biotope sponsorships within the Günztal biotope network offer companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions in Bavaria the opportunity to secure species-rich habitats in the long term. Starting with a symbolic sponsorship for 1 m², areas within the network are maintained for at least 25 years – with a booking size from 500 m² and a contribution of €12 per square meter. This sponsorship supports the preservation of rare animal and plant species, strengthens climate resilience in the Allgäu region, and contributes to the expansion of the regional biotope network. For each sponsorship, a digital certificate with geocoordinates, an individual certificate ID, and a BayernAtlas link is issued, serving as a visible sign of commitment.

The initiative is particularly aimed at companies and organizations that wish to authentically communicate their biodiversity strategy and present employees and business partners with a sustainable gift. Through the permanent maintenance of the areas, a tangible connection is created between ecological engagement and regional identity. The KulturLandschaft Günztal Foundation acts as the funding body, having implemented projects in nature conservation, landscape management, and environmental education in the Günztal since 2000. Applications can be submitted at any time; the flexible funding structure allows for seamless integration into CSR concepts, marketing campaigns, or employee benefits. This sustainable sponsorship offering creates transparency and traceability and makes an important contribution to the preservation of biological diversity in Bavaria.
