Description
The Bremen Trade Fair Promotion Program is aimed at small businesses located or operating in the state of Bremen that wish to expand their presence at internationally oriented trade fairs and exhibitions. Funding is provided for events whose themes align with the Bremen Innovation Strategy 2030 and are situated in the key sectors of foreign trade, trade fairs & exhibitions, as well as in the innovation fields of sustainable economy, future mobility, networked industry, intelligent services, and digital transformation. The goal is to facilitate local companies' access to new markets and sustainably strengthen their competitiveness.
As a flat-rate grant, the Hanseatic City of Bremen supports each trade fair participation with up to €3,500 (domestic), €4,000 (European area), €5,500 (outside the EU), or €2,000 for virtual appearances. A maximum of ten trade fair participations can be funded. Requirements include, among others, listing in AUMA as "international" for domestic trade fairs, the priority application for possible federal or EU funding, and the exclusion of double funding. No funding is provided in the areas of fisheries/aquaculture or primary production. Applications must be submitted to the responsible funding agency prior to the start of the trade fair. Interested companies receive comprehensive support with the application process and implementation from Bremer Aufbau-Bank GmbH or BIS Bremerhaven Gesellschaft für Investment Promotion and Urban Development mbH.
